The business

Furniture that lives outside.

Design Concepts buys outdoor furniture from manufacturers around the world, assembles it in store and sells it from its showroom in Takapuna. Sofas, dining, loungers and umbrellas, built to stay outside all year.

The line on the homepage says it. 100% outdoor. 100% anywhere.

The problem

More visitors, fewer sales.

When we started, more people were coming to the site and fewer of them were buying. The data sat in accounts nobody could properly see into. Spending more on ads would have bought more of the same.

So the order was set before a dollar went out. Fix the measurement, fix the site, then spend.

  • Before

    Tracking nobody could trust

    After

Meta pixel, GA4, Google Ads and Merchant Center, all aligned

  • Before

Data locked in accounts we couldn't see

    After

Accounts the business owns, rebuilt from scratch

  • Before

    A site that leaked buyers

    After

A new site built to sell big-ticket furniture

  • Before

Guessing what the ads should say

    After

Rapid Meta testing, with AI reading why the winners win

The tracking

Every sale counted once, in the right place.

Before anything else, the plumbing. Meta pixel, GA4, Google Ads conversions and Merchant Center, rebuilt and aligned so every channel reports the same sale the same way.

It's the work nobody sees. It's also the reason the month one number can be trusted.

The website

Built for a decision people take their time over.

Outdoor furniture is a considered buy. People look, measure, come back, then visit the showroom. The site had to work for every one of those steps.

Collections by range. Product pages that lead with the piece, the dimensions and the materials, with 3D and view at home. And a clear path to the showroom.

The ads

Test fast. Find the winner. Double down.

Google catches people who are already searching. Brand search, and Shopping split by price, so the big pieces get the budget they deserve.

Meta is where the testing happens. Ad after ad, in rapid succession, against each other, until the numbers pick what works. Then the budget follows the winner.

The angles

AI read the psychology. People made the calls.

Every ad that works is selling something underneath the product. We used AI to analyse the psychology behind the winners, the angle each one was really selling, then built the next round around those angles instead of guessing.

What's next

Month one is the baseline.

Now we iterate. Keep testing, keep the winners, cut what doesn't earn its keep, and grow from there.

The same system runs on Poolboy and Naked Flame.
